Shoring

Non-gravity cantilevered wall systems providing support through stiffness and passive ground resistance.

Robust Excavation Support Systems

Gambit offers three primary shoring systems engineered to provide safe, reliable excavation support for projects of all sizes and soil conditions.

Soldier Pile Shoring

Soldier Pile Shoring

Soldier pile shoring are non-gravity cantilevered walls that provide support through the stiffness of the vertical wall elements and passive resistance from the ground below the finished grade. They are used in both fill and cut wall situations and function as permanent retaining walls and temporary shoring.

Steel HP or W section soldier pile beams
Structural lagging: timber, steel plates, or reinforced concrete
Tieback anchors for walls exceeding 15 feet
Applicable for permanent and temporary installations
Sheetpiling Shoring

Sheetpiling Shoring

Sheet pile walls provide retention support through the stiffness of continuous vertical wall elements and passive resistance from the ground below the finished grade. Highly effective for retaining both earth and water pressures, and particularly useful in soft clay conditions with limited shear strength.

Z-shaped interlocking steel members
Semi-impermeable continuous wall — prevents basal heave
Ideal for soft clay and high water table conditions
Tieback anchors for heights exceeding 4.5 meters
Secant Pile Wall

Secant Pile Wall Shoring

Secant pile walls provide a cutoff system and lateral support through overlapping drilled shafts that form a continuous wall. Alternating reinforced and lean concrete-filled shafts create an effective barrier for saturated soils, preventing water seepage and soil loss during excavation.

Overlapping drilled shafts — continuous wall
Alternating reinforced and lean concrete shafts
Effective for saturated soils — prevents water seepage
Tieback anchors or bracing for increased heights
